Let's Talk About Blogs, Baby! (Linky)

Ok, so completely inappropriately a little song by Salt-n-Pepa popped into my head as I typed in the title to this post.  For those of you who know the song, I apologize!  Somehow I seem to find that everything in my life always circles back to songs at some point.  This was one of those times when a little 90s flashback hit me, so I went with it.  Hopefully you are giggling along with me and and not offended :-)

Since I am still a relatively new blogger (only 6 months in), I often find myself asking questions about blogging etiquette and what my followers (and future followers) come to expect and appreciate the most.  I was going to post these questions on my Facebook page, but I thought this might be a little easier and hopefully more fun for all of us.

Here's how this linky will go....

Grab the picture below and drag it onto your desktop.  Bring it into a document where you can add text boxes (I use Pages).  Answer the questions and then create a question of your own.  The question you add might be one that many of your followers ask you or something you think is important.  So, ask your question and then answer it.  As all linkies go, come back here and leave the URL of your blog post.

Then ---- just to be a nice blogger, since we all love nice bloggers ---- click on 1 or 2 (or more) of the others who have linked up and answer their question in their comments section.

As always, if you don't have a blog --- please feel free to answer the questions in the comments below.  I would never discriminate against my non-blogging followers and I would really like to hear opinions from everyone :-)

Here is the blank one for you to copy to your blog post:

And here are my answers:

Let's Talk About Blogs, Baby!!!

  1. Salt n Pepa is NEVER inappropriate! Well, maybe sometimes, but definitely not now. This linky is a great idea and I'm enjoying reading what other people think so I don't mess it all up!

  2. What a great linky idea!
And since I am child of the 70's and 80's, I didn't even get the song reference at first - took me a minute!

  3. I love this linky! There are so many things I still don't know about blogging and it is nice to chat with other bloggers that are in the same boat.

  4. What a wonderful linky party! Thanks so much for hosting :)

  5. I love it. This will give us so much insight! I like simple giveaways. The prizes are nice in the larger ones, but you could win several small ones and it balances with a large one.

  6. Hi! I found your blog through a comment you left on Keepin' It Kool in Kinderland's giveaway:) As soon as I saw the title for your linky, I had to check it out! O course, the Salt N Pepa song popped right in my head...LOVE it! I went to a concert of theirs last summer and I can't believe how many words I still remembered!. I love your linky and enjoyed reading the answers to your questions. I am still trying to figure out blogging etiquette sometimes myself and this is helpful!

  8. Hi! I found your blog through the Five for Friday linky party and learned about your blog linky party. Such a great idea! I am also a relatively new blogger and am still learning all the things about the blogging world. I actually dislike entering giveways when they require you to follow everything (blog, TpT, Teacher's Notebook, facebook, etc.) It seems a little over the top. But maybe that's just me. :)

By the way, I'm your newest follower! :)

  9. Love me some Salt N Peppa! :) This is a great linky. I too like to enter giveaways that are smaller scale...and it is probably only because those are the only ones I seem to win! :)

  10. I'm glad to find your linky as I have a lot of the same questions. I've been blogging for the past year but will just be a first year teacher this year. One person's question was pet peeve on blogging. I would have to say one pet peeve for me would be when people don't link to the specific post but just the blog. This goes for linkies and Pinterest. When I find interesting things like this linky after it's posted, I like to be able to read without having to search for the post. Anyways, I completely agree with loving blogs that have lots of pictures! I love to see their classroom and students working. That's my favorite part of blogging.
